My music: best described as the love-child of Carole King & Regina Spektor (with an occasional Mozart moment).

I've been writing music for years, now. Mostly on piano, which I've been playing since I was a kid, but sometimes on ukulele (which I taught myself during a gap year that went awry) and even less frequently on guitar. While they're typically lyrical songs, sometimes I channel the greats (I'm a huge fan of Chopin) and write full on classical instrumentals. You can find the sheet music for a few of those instrumentals in my shop, and I've included a couple of my lyrical songs below.

Writing music has always been a way for me to process my feelings - it somehow allows me to take the turbulence out of my physical self, and embody it in something external (music). That way I can revisit it when I want to, but I'm not carrying around the enormity of whatever it was that I was feeling. Just like with my art, I hope that my music captures something universal about the human experience, while documenting my own unique journey.

I feel like I'm on a journey to radical authenticity - to showing up in the world without shame, and being okay with however I find myself. Sharing my music with the world is the next leg of that journey for me, and I would be incredibly privileged if you chose to support me in that. You can do that via my Patreon account, which you can find here.

Much love,

Anna
